Bilic raves about one West Brom player after draw at Charlton
Like London buses, you wait an age for one to turn up and then two appear at once.
That is what has happened with West Brom striker Kenneth Zohore in the space of the last week with the 25-year-old scoring his first two goals for the Baggies since August.
Zohore scored penalties in back-to-back matches at the start of the season but then had to wait 134 days before he was able to hit the back of the net again.
He scored the only goal of the game in the 1-0 win at Charlton last week before, once again, putting the Addicks to the sword on Saturday.
Unfortunately, he was not able to do in a win for the Baggies but still, it was promising to see the £8million summer signing scoring in the 2-2 Championship draw.
Slaven Bilic has been impressed by what he has seen from Zohore in his two goalscoring displays at The Valley over the last week.
“He scored his goal, he worked really hard. It’s not easy to mark him. He’s a very useful player, and he was good,” said Bilic, as quoted by the Birmingham Mail.
“He was in the box, he was running in the channels. He was one of the reasons why Hal and Matheus had so much space.
“He stretched them, the pockets, for them.”
Zohore has not only impressed with his ability to find the net but his overall displays at Charlton have been very promising for a player who has had a tough season since joining West Brom from Cardiff in the summer.
We hope to see his form continue in the coming weeks and prove that right now he has not just hit a purple patch and can be a very useful player in Albion’s promotion push.
