West Brom have been working on a deal to sign Dinamo Zagreb attacker Mislav Orsic for over a month and could wrap up a deal for the Croatia international this January, according to Sportske Novosti.

The Croatian news outlet claims that Slaven Bilic is keen to bring Orsic, 27, to England before the January transfer window slams shut to help strengthen his side's bid to win promotion to the Premier League.

It is understood that Albion set the wheels in motion to try and sign Orsic over a month ago and a deal worth £8.5million for the winger is now on the cards for January.

Orsic has been in superb form for Dinamo this season, scoring 19 goals and supplying five assists in 26 matches across all competitions.

The former Ulsan Hyundai attacker is mainly a left-sided winger but he can also play up front and on the right-wing, which is the position he played in when he scored a hat-trick against Atalanta in the Champions League in September.

Sportske Notosti reports that Orisc has turned down the chance to head to China and MLS in his career while he has also been on the radars of both Valencia and Lyon.

It remains to be seen whether West Brom can convince Orsic to head to the Black Country before the end of the month but based on the fact that an extra winger wouldn't go amiss at The Hawthorns, this sounds like a deal that fans should hope to see completed.
