‘Of course’ – Bilic confirms West Brom interest in attacker
West Brom were recently reported by Sportske to have been stepping up their interest in Mislav Orsic.
According to the Croatian outlet, the Baggies are ready to offer £6million for the Dinamo Zagreb winger – £3million short of the reported valuation.
It was suggested that a deal could still be possible for the Championship club this month, as Slaven Bilic looks to strengthen his options in the final third.
Bilic, himself, confirmed that reported interested on Thursday. The Baggies boss claimed that any player who can break into the Croatian national side is a great talent given their recent strength.
He also commended Orsic for the jump he has made into the Champions League with Zagreb – something which would stand him in good stead for the second half of the season.
“Orsic is a good player, of course, he is a good player,” he said, via the Express and Star.
“He made his mark at Dinamo Zagreb, not only in the league but also in the Champions League. He has scored four or five goals in the Champions League – a hat-trick against Atalanta.
“He broke into the national team and we have a hell of a national team – not an average one, we have a good national team.
“We are interested in him, yes. Is it going to happen? Who knows, we’ll see.”
With the likes of Grady Diangana and Matheus Pereira excelling for the Baggies – adding Orsic in the final third could really make West Brom irresistible.
Bilic is clearly a massive fan of the winger, and he could even be their number one target this month after these comments.
