Sky Sports pundit predicts West Brom clash v Stoke

Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has predicted that West Brom will return to winning ways in their clash against Stoke at The Hawthorns on Monday night.

Slaven Bilic has failed to see his side win any of their last five Championship fixtures and the gap between the Baggies and third has started to slowly close up over the last few weeks.

Stoke are in better form than West Brom but remain just one point clear of the relegation zone as they prepare to travel to the Black Country.

Former Leeds and Nottingham Forest player Prutton has predicted a routine victory for the Baggies on Monday night and has tipped them to win 3-1.

“West Brom will have to sit and watch all their promotion rivals all weekend before playing on Monday night, and that in itself could add a little pressure if that gap squeezes up again. They are without a win in five now,” Prutton said on the Sky Sports website.

“Stoke are still in the thick of a relegation battle, but at least they are picking up points more consistently under Michael O’Neill. But I doubt they have enough to trouble the Baggies.”

West Brom have certainly had the better of Stoke in their recent meetings.

Albion have lost just one of their last 10 matches against the Potters, winning seven times in that stretch of games dating back to March 2015. It is a far cry from the Baggies’ form against the Staffordshire club when Tony Pulis was in charge there.

West Brom have to get back to winning ways as soon as possible if they want to maintain their promotion bid but there is a good chance that we will see Grady Diangana in from the start on Monday night.

Diangana has been missed a lot during his recent spell on the sidelines and hopefully his return can cause the attack to improve.

In other West Brom news, this Albion player is desperate to stay at The Hawthorns amid speculation around his future.
