West Brom duo Grady Diangana and Matheus Pereira are wanted men, according to former Albion striker Kevin Phillips.

Both attackers have been in impressive form for the Baggies since moving to The Hawthorns in the summer on loan deals.

Diangana, 21, could still return to West Ham before the end of the January transfer window if they opt to terminate his loan spell at Albion but Pereira, 23, is on the verge of triggering a permanent deal.

The Brazilian joined Albion on loan from Sporting CP in the summer but the Express & Star has recently reported that he is now just five Championship appearances away from officially becoming a West Brom player.

West Brom fans have fallen in love with Diangana and Pereira for their electric attacking displays this season, but Phillips has warned that there are other clubs who are now becoming interested in signing them.

“If West Brom were to go up I’m sure they would try and add him to the squad but these two players, Diangana and Pereira as well, two fantastic signings that have made a huge difference to West Brom and the Championship," the former Baggies striker told Football Insider.

“I know for a fact there’s other clubs looking at them so we just hope that they perform, continue to perform from now until the end of the season and get West Brom promoted.”

For now, let's just try and get out of the Championship before thinking about what happens in the summer transfer window.

Sure, there are likely to be offers made for both players but there is nothing the Baggies can do about Diangana and Pereira has shown he is good enough for the Premier League in his performances at the club to date.

Slaven Bilic, Luke Dowling and Mark Jenkins should be working hard on trying to sign players this month and keeping Diangana until the summer right now and not concerning themselves with possible summer deals.
