West Ham duo ruled out of clash v West Brom
David Moyes has confirmed that West Ham will be without Arthur Masuaku and Robert Snodgrass for his side’s clash against West Brom at the London Stadium on Saturday.
Both Masuaku and Snodgrass were forced off the pitch in the 4-1 defeat to Leicester on Tuesday night while centre-back Angelo Ogbonna is also a doubt for Slaven Bilic’s return to West Ham.
“We picked up a couple of injuries in the game but that’s happening at the moment. We picked up injuries to Snodgrass and Arthur, who’ll be out this weekend. We’re looking at Angelo who fell on his back,” said Moyes, as quoted on West Ham’s official website.
Albion also have availability issues of their own going into their FA Cup fourth-round clash against the Hammers.
Grady Diangana picked up an injury in the defeat to Stoke on Monday night while Matheus Pereira will miss out due to a three-match ban he picked up for elbowing Joe Allen.
Bilic was always likely to rest key players and offer some of his youngsters and fringe players a chance to shine at the London Stadium but some changes will now be forced.
The Croatian made wholesale changes when the Baggies won 1-0 at Charlton in the last round of the FA Cup.
And with a Championship fixture against Cardiff on Tuesday night, there is a good chance he will take a similar approach to his return to the London Stadium.
In other West Brom news, this Albion defender will sign a new contract on Friday.
