Some West Brom fans rave about ‘MOTM’ after win v West Ham
West Brom fans have taken to Twitter to hail Filip Krovinovic for his performance in the 1-0 win against West Ham on Saturday.
Even though they ended the match with 10-men against Premier League opposition, Championship leaders West Brom ensured their name would be in the hat for the fifth round of the FA Cup with a brilliant win at the London Stadium.
Conor Townsend’s ninth-minute strike was enough to seal victory for the Baggies but it was Croatian midfielder Krovinovic who had fans purring online for his display this weekend.
According to stats by WhoScored, Krovinovic completed 88 per cent of his passes – more than any of his team-mates who started – and made two key passes.
He also completed two dribbles and had four shots at goal, a figure which no player on the pitch for either side managed to better.
West Brom need a player like Krovinovic to step up in the coming weeks due to Matheus Pereira being suspended for the next two Championship matches.
However if he plays anything like he did at West Ham on Saturday then the Baggies should be able to bounce back to winning ways in the league soon enough.
Albion fans online were impressed with what they saw from Krovinovic and here is a selection of their tweets:
