Report: West Brom consider late January swoop for QPR attacker

Bright Osayi-Samuel has emerged on Slaven Bilic’s radar as West Brom consider a late January swoop for the QPR attacker, according to the Express & Star.

The Baggies are reportedly closing in on an £800,000 deal to sign Kamil Grosicki from Hull City but it is understood that the Polish attacker is not the only target for Bilic in the final hours of the January transfer window.

The Express & Star says that Dinamo Zagreb’s Mislav Orsic and Osayi-Samuel have also been targetted by the Black Country club but, as it stands, Grosicki is the top priority.

As the Grosicki deal seems to be imminent, it does not look as though Osayi-Samuel will be heading to The Hawthorns before the 11pm transfer deadline on Friday.

It would be a massive shame if that were the case because Osayi-Samuel is a great young player who would have no doubt made a huge impact in the West Brom attack.

The 22-year-old Nigerian has made 23 appearances in all competitions for QPR this season, scoring five goals and supplying five assists in the process.

He is fast and extremely difficult for defenders to deal with due to his brilliant dribbling technique.

The former Blackpool attacker tore Leeds United to shreds earlier this month.

West Brom could have done with a player like that added to their attack but for now, Grosicki seems like a decent addition.

In other West Brom news, Kevin Phillips is surprised by this transfer decision by the Baggies.
