‘Unbelievable’ – BBC pundit blown away by ‘fantastic’ West Brom signing
Noel Whelan has claimed that West Brom have completed an unbelievable signing by bringing in Kamil Grosicki to the Hawthorns.
The BBC pundit admitted that the Baggies have shown real intent with their signings, claiming that they have proved how committed they are to earning promotion to the Premier League this season.
Whelan was sympathetic towards Hull, who also lost their main talisman, Jarrod Bowen, in January to West Ham.
“Great signing. I feel sorry for Hull because they have lost their two top scorers and probably their two most influential players,” he told Football Insider.
“What an unbelievable signing for West Brom. He is a great winger – very dangerous, scores goals, gets assists, loads of pace, very tricky.
“Fantastic signing for West Brom and he will only add more quality to an already strong West Brom side and they are showing that they want to go up this season with the signings they have made.”
Callum Robinson also arrived in the Midlands on-loan from Sheffield United and shined in his debut against Luton on Saturday.
Grosicki will add even more offensive depth. The Polish international has been superb in the past couple of seasons in East Yorkshire, being involved in 32 goals in the past couple of seasons.
The 31-year-old has also averaged 2.8 shots on goal in each outing this season [WhoScored] – impressive when you consider that Matheus Pereira completes the most for the Baggies with only 2.1 per game.
Should Grosicki have a similar impact to what Robinson has already had, Baggies fans will be in for a real treat in the next few months.
