‘Bags of ability’ – Sky Sports pundit ‘surprised’ by late West Brom addition
Darren Bent has admitted that he was surprised that new West Brom signing Kamil Grosicki stayed at Hull City for so long.
The Sky Sports pundit has been blown away by the addition at the Hawthorns and admitted that the Polish international could do really well for the Baggies.
Bent claimed there must be something going wrong behind the scenes at Hull after the Tigers lost both Grosicki and Jarrod Bowen in January.
“He’s another one that’s got bags of ability, got a lot of pace, can score goals and it surprised me that he was at Hull for so long,” he told Football Insider.
“Again, there must be something going on there behind the scenes but it’s a great, great signing for West Brom, a really good signing.
“Good players will play better around better players, I think Grosicki will do really well for West Brom.”
Slaven Bilic will have been delighted with his business last month, bringing in Callum Robinson as well on loan – two great wingers with a vast amount of Championship experience.
Grosicki, in particular, has been excelling for a side not necessarily at the top of the league too, being involved in 32 goals since the start of last season. He has also averaged 2.8 shots on goal per game this campaign – considerably more than anyone in the Baggies squad [WhoScored].
