Sky Sports pundit predicts West Brom clash against Millwall
West Brom might be top of the table but they could do with making it back-to-back wins against Millwall at The Den on Saturday.
A poor run of form has seen the top of the table compacted and after Leeds and West Brom looked to be running away with it before Christmas, there are now plenty of teams within shouting distance of the top two.
The trip to London is going to be a tough one for West Brom, with Gary Rowett having turned round fortunes at The Den.
Sky Sports pundit David Prutton thinks the match will end up in a 1-1 draw. [Sky Sports]
Prutton thinks it will be a “real test” for the Baggies’ credentials and wrote, “West Brom got back to winning ways last week, and Callum Robinson looks a good addition to the squad, but Luton at home is about as straightforward as it gets this season and this is a real test for them. Draw here for me.”
Would we take a draw? It certainly wouldn’t be the worst result in the world. Millwall are on a run of three consecutive wins at home and those games included a 1-0 win against promotion hopefuls Brentford.
West Brom have Matheus Pereira back after a three-game suspension and that will be a huge boost – he’s been involved in 19 goals this season and West Brom have missed his attacking verve.
Leeds have a tough game of their own when they travel to the City Ground to play Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
They could easily drop points so a draw could see the Baggies stay top. However, a win would start building that all-important buffer to third back up.
We might be biased but we’re going to go with an away win.
In other West Brom news, fans are thrilled with this new addition at The Hawthorns.
