View: West Brom youngster cements spot in side after another blinder v Millwall
West Brom made it the perfect weekend in the Championship, picking up the three points in the 2-0 win over Millwall.
The Baggies cemented their spot at the top of the league, as Leeds once again lost against Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening.
Slaven Bilic would have been delighted with the performance at the Den, with not many clubs being able to walk into the stadium and dominate Millwall as they did.
Familiarity can create strong bonds in football, and Dara O’Shea keeping his spot at full-back along with Conor Townsend has helped massively.

O’Shea has been superb since his call-up to the senior side. The Irish youngster has had to be too, having jumped ahead of the experienced duo of Darnell Furlong and Lee Peltier in the absence of Nathan Ferguson.
The 20-year-old was superb against Millwall against one of the most physical sides in the league. He also scored his first senior goal to put the icing on the cake towards the end of the clash and make it a perfect Sunday.
Bilic can not even think about taking O’Shea out of his side now. The enforcer made five tackles against the Lions, as well as winning six aerial duels, his best-combined total in all three games he has played so far [WhoScored].

With the experience that players such as Peltier has, it would have been an easy call to bring him into the team for a trip to a team like Millwall.
It felt like an afternoon that could make or break O’Shea, but he certainly passed that test with flying colours, and it will almost mean that he will certainly cement his spot for the few games coming up in the league and potentially the FA Cup clash with Newcastle.
