View: West Brom could pull off masterclass as Baggies reportedly open contract talks with duo

West Brom are in talks with Kyle Edwards and Rayhaan Tulloch over new long-term deals at the Hawthorns, according to the Express and Star.

It is understood that Edwards is closing in on putting pen-to-paper on that contract, something that could significantly boost his wages.

According to the report though, the future of Tulloch is certainly less clear. The 19-year-old has already rejected one contract offer in the Midlands, and that has seen other clubs line up to assert their interest in the forward.

Edwards has been given a bigger role by Slaven Bilic, featuring 26 times – yes, 17 of those may have been off the bench, but the youngster is showing great signs of improvement.

Tulloch, on the other hand, has only featured a couple of times in the FA Cup. Impressively, the 19-year-old was given the chance in the 1-0 win over West Ham, a big sign that Bilic rates him very highly.

In the same report as above, many Premier League clubs have been named as interested parties – Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Southampton, Newcastle all in the running.

With a second contract on the table, it would be a masterclass if the Baggies were able to tie the striker down to a new deal at the club.

West Brom have a number of loan players in their side alongside some experienced names like Kamil Grosicki and Charlie Austin in the final third.

Securing the likes of Edwards and Tulloch who could learn bucketloads from those sort of players could see them improve tenfold.

This could be a massive boost and a masterclass at the Hawthorns, all eyes to the future and fingers crossed the two deals can be dragged over the line.
