‘Would be strange’ – West Brom star makes C’Ship admission after Millwall win

West Brom playmaker Filip Krovinovic has admitted that it would be strange not to be checking the Championship table at this stage of the season.

The Croatian scored the first goal in the 2-0 win against Millwall on Sunday, a victory that put the Baggies four points ahead of second-placed Leeds.

Slaven Bilic’s men put in one of their best performances of the season at the Den, conquering both Millwall and the elements to leave the capital with all three points.

Krovinovic commented on the promotion race after the victory on Sunday, claiming that even if he is checking the table, he is fully concentrated on the Midlands club.

“You look, of course, you do it would be strange if you didn’t look at the table,” he told the Birmingham Mail.

“But you can only be concerned about your team and yourself.”

Bilic will be delighted with his side after their 2-0 win at Millwall, but will also know that it means nothing if it can’t be backed up.

All you have to do is look at Leeds’ current form to back that up. The Whites went above West Brom after beating Millwall themselves only two games ago, but back-to-back defeats has seen that significantly dropped.

Next up is a trip to Reading, and the Baggies will be taking it game-by-game, another three points would make it the perfect few days.
