View: Time for West Brom to prove why they are worthy of PL promotion
Leeds United, Brentford and Nottingham Forest all dropped points on Tuesday night, handing West Brom a big chance to open up some daylight between themselves and their promotion rivals at the top of the Championship.
Albion face Reading at the Madejski on Wednesday and could move seven points clear of third-place if Fulham lose against a Millwall side who the Baggies beat at the weekend to string together a second consecutive victory.
Having a bigger points gap between themselves and third would be a bonus going into a tricky clash against Forest at The Hawthorns this weekend but the biggest test for West Brom will be earning their first victory away at Reading since 1995.
West Brom fans know all too well about their side’s rotten record against the Royals, who’ve dumped them out of the FA Cup four times in the last 16 years.

Albion have also won just three of their last 16 meetings with the Berkshire side, adding to the grim statistical reading ahead of their trip to the Madejski on Wednesday.
But, there is no time like the present to throw the history books out of the window and make a huge statement at the top of the Championship.
With other promotion contenders slipping up on Tuesday, now is the time for West Brom to step forward and show that they are the team to beat, the team who is prepared to pull away from everyone else and be stand-alone leaders at the top.

Reading are going to be a tough side to beat. They have some very good midfield players in John Swift and Ovie Ejaria and Albion could be in for some rotation due to the clash with Forest this weekend.
However if West Brom want to show that they are worthy of playing in the Premier League next season then this is the game to win.
