‘First class’ – Don Goodman raves about West Brom player v Nottm Forest

Don Goodman has been raving about Callum Robinson’s first goal for West Brom as the Baggies drew 2-2 with Nottingham Forest at The Hawthorns on Saturday.

Robinson, 25, opened his account for West Brom with a neat finish in the 37h minute when he calmly slotted the ball into the Forest after being picked out by Matheus Pereira.

Former West Brom and Wolves striker Goodman was overjoyed with the composure shown by Robinson as he struck Albion into the lad.

“One touch, opens his body up – that is a first class finish,” said Goodman on Sky Sports Main Event after Robinson opened the scoring at The Hawthorns.

“It’s great work from Pereira and even better from Callum Robinson.

“What a finish and what a way to introduce yourself to your home supporters.”

Robinson has made quite the impact since joining West Brom on loan from Sheffield United in the January transfer window.

As well as his goal in the first half, he was unlucky to have not doubled his tally for the Baggies in the final moments of the game when his shot crossed the line but was controversially ruled out by the officials.

Referee Keith Stroud had a terrible match on Saturday with controversial decisions going against both sides.

However there is no denying that Robinson’s last-gasp shot crossed the line and it should have been a 3-2 win for Albion.
