Report: West Brom still in contract talks with starlet despite recent speculation
West Brom are still in crunch talks with starlet Rayhaan Tulloch over a new contract despite recent suggestions they had collapsed.
Football Insider have reported that discussions remain ongoing, and the 19-year-old is open-minded over remaining at the Hawthorns.
It was suggested by the Athletic that West Brom were prepared to roll the dice and allow yet another talented youngster to leave the Hawthorns.
Tulloch is highly-regarded at West Brom and even featured for 30 minutes against West Ham in the FA Cup win last month.
It is suggested that instead of rolling the dice, the Baggies are actually reluctant to let the young forward leave the club.
Slaven Bilic is clearly a big fan, with Tulloch having been involved 13 goals in 14 games in the Premier League Two.
Bilic and the Baggies will want to resolve the issue quickly and tie Tulloch down to a new long-term deal – with big clubs such as Rangers sniffing around the England youth international.
Football Insider also revealed that European clubs such as RB Leipzig and Marseille were also interested in bringing in the young forward on a pre-contract deal for the summer.
It would be a massive coup for the Baggies to secure Tulloch beyond this season, and if they do, he will have a big chance of featuring for his boyhood club in the Premier League if promotion is secured.
In other West Brom news, it has been confirmed that the FA will take no further action on this Baggies star
