Tulloch camp stunned by wage suggestions coming out of West Brom – report

Rayhaan Tulloch’s camp are stunned by suggestions from West Brom that he is demanding a new contract worth up to £15,000-a-week, according to the Mirror.

Tulloch, 19, is out of contract in the summer and is reportedly attracting attention from Scottish giants Rangers but he is keen to agree new terms at The Hawthorns to extend his stay there.

However the Mirror reports that West Brom are playing hardball over the teenager’s contract – even though they are desperate to keep hold of him.

It is understood that there have been suggestions come out of the club that Tulloch wants a pay packet worth between £10-15,000-a-week before agreeing terms but the sources close to the player are shocked by those claims.

He’s only had two rounds of talk with West Brom and there are concerns that those huge numbers have been put out there to absolve the club of any blame if he eventually leaves.

West Brom fans have seen their club let slip of a number of decent young players in recent years with Louie Barry and Morgan Rogers among them last summer.

Nathan Ferguson is also someone who could be on his way out at the end of this season with his contract set to expire while the cases of Izzy Brown and Jerome Sinclair are still familiar to supporters.

Let’s hope Albion can thrash out a deal with Tulloch because he is a good young player who does seem to have a future at the Black Country club.

In other West Brom news, this blow could end up being a blessing in disguise for the Baggies.
