Jeff Stelling and Matt Le Tissier predict winner in West Brom clash v Preston: ‘Superb’

Sky Sports’ Jeff Stelling and Matt Le Tissier have both predicted that West Brom will beat Preston North End at the Hawthorns on Tuesday.

Both have predicted that Preston will find the back of the net once, with Stelling claiming it will finish 2-1 and Le Tissier believing the Baggies will put three past the Lilywhites.

West Brom will be looking to extend their nine-point gap to the play-offs, with Slaven Bilic being forced to make one switch to replace the suspended Romaine Sawyers.

Le Tissier admitted that it won’t be an easy ride at the Hawthorns despite the Baggies recent run of form in the Championship.

“West Brom enjoyed a superb win at Bristol City and face a team in a similar position,” he wrote for Super 6.

“It will not be plain sailing for Slaven Bilic’s men but they will get the job done and earn three more valuable points.”

With only 12 matches to go, each game is vital in the promotion picture, and beating another team in-and-around the playoffs will be critical.

Preston gave West Brom a good run for their money in the reverse fixture at Deepdale. Alex Neil’s side lost 1-0 and despite having less of the ball, some would say they created the better chances on goal.

The Lilywhites made 19 more tackles according to WhoScored, and the Baggies struggled to translate their pressure into goals – having to rely on a controversial penalty in the 1-0 win.

West Brom are yet again on another cracking run though and with the additions of Callum Robinson and Kamil Grosicki strengthening their squad massively.
