Robert Earnshaw claims West Brom mainstay ‘more than good enough’ for Premier League
Rob Earnshaw has claimed that West Brom striker Hal Robson-Kanu is more than good enough for the Premier League next season.
The Baggies legend admitted that the Welsh international has all the qualities needed to succeed in the top-flight, with his goals being the difference recently.
Earnshaw went onto predict that his former side should earn promotion and that he would be surprised if they didn’t go up from the Championship with 11 games to play.
Earnshaw was speaking on past experiences with Robson-Kanu, claiming that his former teammate has made a big difference this season at the Hawthorns.
“I played with him a lot of times. I like him, he’s a good player and he’s got real good individual skills and it’s good to see him doing well right now,” he told Love Sport Radio.
“I’ll be surprised if they don’t go up because I think that they’re strong enough and I think he’s leading the way with that, especially with the goals and when he scored them because they’ve been winning goals. They’ve been goals that make a difference in their season so far.
“If they do go up I think he’s more than good enough to compete at that level because he’s got all the abilities.”
The 30-year-old has been superb and deservedly takes the credit from Earnshaw. His goal against Preston was his 10th of the season – the first time he has hit double figures in a single campaign.
Robson-Kanu isn’t exactly involved massively in games, only averaging 12.7 passes in each outing according to WhoScored – numbers which prove his work off the ball and finishing has improved significantly this season.
