‘Fantastic’ – Adrian Chiles admits West Brom fan favourite deserves spot at EURO 2020

Adrian Chiles has admitted that he believes that West Brom forward Hal Robson-Kanu should go to EURO 2020 with Wales at the end of the season.

The commentator and Baggies fan claimed that the whole club has a love for the forward, even when he was stuck on the bench at the Hawthorns.

Robson-Kanu claimed his 10th goal of the season in the win over Preston recently, and it was the first time in his career he has hit double figures in a single campaign.

Chiles believes that the form highlighted by Robson-Kanu this season has been different class and the main reason he should be on the plane for the Welsh.

“Yeah,” he told Sgorio on their official Twitter account.

“When we first got him, even when he was on the bench, we sort of loved him for some reason just cause we had a good song about him.

“He’d come on and he’d score and the whole ground would be singing it. But, this year he’s been different thing, I think Slaven might have been good for him, he’s just quicker, he’s just on it.

“He’s been fantastic for us and he’s just got to go to the Euro’s.”

Chiles is spot on, Slaven Bilic has been key to the improvement of each individual player for the Baggies this season and Robson-Kanu is probably the biggest beneficiary.

The Welshman shined at the previous European Championships and his form this season is fully deserving of yet another call-up to the next major tournament.

The 30-year-old has led the line superbly in the Midlands, averaging 1.7 shots on goal per game according to WhoScored – form that has kept the likes of Charlie Austin out of the side.
