West Brom officials intend to sign £9m-rated loanee on permanent deal – report

Benfica are open to the idea of selling Filip Krovinovic to West Brom on a permanent deal in the summer, according to A Bola.

Krovinovic, 24, joined the Baggies on a season-long loan in the summer and although he had a slow start to life in the West Midlands, the Croatian midfielder has become a key part of Slaven Bilic’s squad since the start of the New Year.

A Bola reports that West Brom do not have the option to sign Krovinovic permanently but it is understood that Baggies officials intend to sign him at the next available opportunity.

Benfica are reportedly willing to sell the playmaker and value him at around £9million.

Krovinovic has made 34 appearances in all competitions for West Brom this season, scoring two goals and supplying four assists in the process.

He’s played very well since becoming a mainstay of Bilic’s starting line-up in January, helping West Brom to get past their rut and go on a run of wins in February that helps them sit six points clear of third as it stands.

If Benfica are willing to sell Krovinovic for just £9million in the summer then Albion should go for it.

Krovinovic is still relatively young at 24 and has shown signs that he is getting better and better.
