Fenerbahce have set their sights on West Brom manager Slaven Bilic as they aim to find a successor to Ersun Yanal, according to Fotospor.

The Turkish news outlet claims that Fenerbahce had been interested in approaching former Bayer Leverkusen and Red Bull Salzburg manager Roger Schmidt before he was appointed in charge of PSV.

It is understood that, as a result, Fenerbahce have turned their attention to try to lure Bilic away from the Black Country.

However, fortunately for the Baggies, the report claims that Bilic is committed to his project at The Hawthorns and Fenerbahce would be unlikely to lure him to Istanbul due to their financial issues.

Bilic has managed in Turkey before, taking charge of Fenerbahce's fierce rival Besiktas between 2013 and 2015.

The ex-Croatia boss has since been manager of West Ham, Al-Ittihad and now West Brom, who sit second in the Championship standings amid the current coronavirus-enforced suspension of the league.

It seems very unlikely that Bilic will be leaving West Brom until the season is, somehow, concluded. Especially to Fenerbahce, where there appear to be major issues with Financial Fair Play.
