Callum Robinson tweets after West Brom are knocked out of FIFA 20 tournament
Callum Robinson has aimed a dig at Ajax for using a professional Esports player after knocking West Brom out of a FIFA20 tournament.
After football in England was suspended, Leyton Orient’s social media team got to work on a huge FIFA tournament and in the first round, Albion were drawn to play Dutch giants Ajax.
West Brom opted to name on-loan Sheffield United winger Robinson as their player for the match but Ajax went with a professional FIFA gamer Dani Hagebeuk.
Unsurprisingly, Ajax won 5-1 but there was a highlight when Robinson managed to score with himself to get what would eventually be a consolation goal.
After the match concluded, the 25-year-old took to his personal Twitter account to thank those who watched the match while also showing his discontent towards Ajax’s decision.
“Ajax playing a pro FIFA player… Come on, you’re better than that,” he said.
“Gave it right go though, but what chance you got? Thanks to all the streamers who tuned in! I’ll learn from it and come back stronger.”

It was a shame to see West Brom knocked out of the ‘QuaranTeam Cup’ at the first hurdle but at least they tried to make it fun by naming a first-team player to feature in it.
As for Ajax, they’ll probably go far due to having a professional gamer on their side.
But, he still conceded and only won by four goals against someone who casually plays like Robinson.
West Brom also decided to take a bit of a swipe at the Dutch side on their official Twitter account.
A brave effort from @CallumRobinson7 who is defeated by Ajax's pro player who hasn't left his house in years.
