‘I’d honestly take Berahino’ – West Brom Super Fans name strikers they’d want to sign

This is part of a regular series from our panel of West Brom Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around The Hawthorns.

If West Brom manage to win promotion to the Premier League then there’s a good chance Slaven Bilic will be in the hunt to sign a new striker.

While Hal Robson-Kanu and Charlie Austin have served up some impressive displays in the Championship this season, neither have managed to score more than 10 goals for the second-placed club and both are in their 30s.

Many would agree that if the Baggies want to survive in the top-flight – if they get there – then a new centre-forward who can guarantee goals would have to be brought in.

West Brom

We have asked our panel of West Brom Super Fans who they’d like to see signed up by the club, with a number of different options being served up.

Here is what they had to say:

Luke Pollard (@LukeyP_wba)

Harv Plant (@harvplant)

Dave Neale (@baggiedave70)

Dylan Ashmore (@WBADyl)

Connor Moore (@Connormoore_wba)

Fulham forward Aleksandar Mitrovic seems to be the popular choice among the Super Fans.

Mitrovic, 25, has scored 23 goals in 34 Championship appearances this season and has a good amount of Premier League experience that could come in handy if West Brom go up and Fulham don’t.

Other options discussed are also interesting with Callum Wilson, Teemu Pukki and Neal Maupay potentially becoming available if their respective clubs get relegated from the Premier League.

The most controversial shout has to be Saido Berahino.

No one needs reminding about how he went about leaving West Brom a few years back and his goalscoring record at Stoke is likely to put other fans off.

In other West Brom news, Kevin Phillips has named a striker who Albion should try to sign.
