Slaven Bilic sends message to West Brom fans amid coronavirus lockdown

Slaven Bilic has urged West Brom supporters to stay indoors with the country in lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Last Monday, Boris Johnson urged the public to avoid leaving the house unless absolutely necessary in a bid to delay the spread of COVID-19 in the United Kingdom.

Unfortunately, there have been people who’ve been ignoring the rules of lockdown, leading to a lot of anger among those who are following the government’s advice.

West Brom boss Bilic has now issued a plea to supporters to remain indoors and help ease the burden on the NHS as they fight the disease.

“Hello. I wish you all the best at this difficult time,” Bilic said in a video on West Brom’s official Twitter account on Saturday.

“Wash your hands, don’t socialise, don’t go out unless you have to work or to buy food and what is really necessary for you and your family.

“Stay in. Be reliable, be responsible, be disciplined.

“Respect yourself, respect your family, respect the people who are sacrificing themselves to help us.

“Be proper. Look after yourself, look after your families. Only together we can kill this virus.

“God bless you all.”

Even if Bilic has stopped one West Brom supporter from leaving the house unnecessarily then doing this short video clip would have been worthwhile.

As shown in a video on the BBC News website, the difference that just one person can make while social distancing is massive. One person has the power to stop hundreds of others from being infected.

Despite the government enforcing lockdown earlier this week, there are still some people who are not following the new rules.

But think about it. If you want a summer holiday, stay indoors now. If you want to go to the beer garden in the summer, stay indoors now. If you want football to come back as soon as possible, stay indoors now.
