Sky Sports report reveals chances of West Brom finishing season at neutral venues

Sky Sports have reported that there are limited chances of West Brom being forced to finish their Championship season at neutral venues.

There are 108 games remaining in the Championship, and 326 if you count the entire English Football League, although it is likely Leagues One and Two are abandoned.

West Brom currently have nine games to play, with big clashes against the likes of Fulham and Brentford still to complete.

Sky Sports claimed that the organisation needed and the amount of travelling potentially ahead of sides to play at neutral venues would be impractical.

That makes it unlikely as it stands, and we can expect for those remaining games to be played at the originally planned venues.

It is still being reported that the plan is to promote three clubs and relegate the same number from the top-flight, something that has to happen if all the games are finished on-the-pitch.

Baggies players will now have to prepare to finish the season behind-closed-doors at the Hawthorns and not let it affect them.

The EFL’s initial plan was for players and staff to return to training on May the 16th, meaning that they could have just over a couple of weeks to prepare for the restart.

Boris Johnson confirmed that if backed by the government, football should be able to return in June and as it stands, it will be in the Midlands.
