West Brom confirm plans to refund all tickets purchased for remaining C’Ship games

West Brom have confirmed their plan to refund fans for all tickets purchased for the remaining nine Championship fixtures this season.

The Baggies confirmed the news on Wednesday, following fellow promotion hopefuls Leeds United who did the same on Tuesday evening.

There was no news for season ticket holders after the government had confirmed that no fans will be present should the nine fixtures finally get played.

It was an announcement that was expected, but none-the-less the fans will be delighted that they have been given that commitment by the club in these troubling times.

The likes of West Brom and Leeds have the most to lose after being sat in the automatic promotion spots for the entirety of the season.

Fans will take promotion however it comes, and even if it comes behind-closed-doors there will still be huge amounts of celebrations.

The Baggies have shown their class during this troubling time. In a period where a number of Premier League clubs are coming out and demanding that relegation is scrapped, you don’t see the Midlands club complaining.

West Brom could suggest that promotion is there’s for the taking, but instead they have claimed that they are prepared for another year in the Championship, although we would prefer top-flight football – it’s the least they deserve.

Time will tell, but it looks good for the Championship side as it looks more and more likely that the games will be concluded, and hopefully promotion at the same time.
