Reliable journalist shares update on Krovinovic loan deal at West Brom
Filip Krovinovic will be able to see out the rest of the season at West Brom even though his loan deal is due to expire on June 30.
That is according to Express & Star journalist Joseph Masi, who has also reported that Grady Diangana and Callum Robinson will be able to stay at The Hawthorns until the 2019/20 season is concluded.
Masi admits that he has not heard an official line from the club to say that Krovinovic, 24, will stay until the season ends but he seems pretty certain that will be the case.
Krovinovic joined the Baggies on a season-long loan from Benfica in the summer and has since made 34 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and supplying four assists in the process.
He found it difficult to establish himself in Slaven Bilic’s starting line-up in the first half of the season but since Bilic tweaked his formation in the winter, the Croatian playmaker has shone and has been one of Albion’s best players of 2020.
West Brom do not have the option to sign Krovinovic permanently from Benfica once his loan deal does eventually end but there will no doubt be fans urging the club to offer a full-time deal to the Zagreb-born midfielder.
In other West Brom news, Saido Berahino will never be welcomed back to The Hawthorns.
