21-year-old confirms West Brom exit on Twitter, Jimmy Shan responds

Goalkeeper Brad House has confirmed on Twitter that he has left West Brom with his contract due to expire this summer.

House, 21, joined West Brom in 2015 after being released by Arsenal but has never made a competitive appearance for the Baggies despite playing in a couple of pre-season friendlies in 2018.

Now, it has been confirmed that House is leaving The Hawthorns after the young goalkeeper updated fans via his personal Twitter account on Friday.

House wrote: “Easily the craziest and strangest finish to a season I’ve ever experienced and it’s never easy to say goodbye but I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone involved at West Brom for everything over the past six years.”

House went on to thank those who coached him and played alongside him during his spell at The Hawthorns before adding: “I wish the club the absolute best for the future and getting back to the Premier League where they belong.”

Former West Brom coach Jimmy Shan responded to House’s tweet.

He said: “All the very best for the future Brad! Great ability/attitude/personality. Next chapter waiting… minor setbacks major comebacks.”

It has never really worked out for House at West Brom.

Although he made those pre-season friendlies appearances a couple of years ago, he hasn’t come anywhere near to play in the senior squad.

Albion usually have three senior goalkeepers to choose from and they also have 18-year-old Joshua Griffiths, who is emerging from the Baggies academy.

It has been a tough few years for House but hopefully he can find a new club soon and start to kick on in his career.

In other West Brom news, Saido Berahino can beg all he wants, he will never be welcomed back.
