Reliable journalist: West Brom not included in positive COVID-19 findings after recent results
West Brom received no new positive COVID-19 results after the recent batch of results were published over the weekend, according to Express and Star journalist Joseph Masi.
It was revealed that 10 people from Championship clubs had returned positive findings of the Coronavirus during the second stage of testing.
Masi was quick to reveal that none of those had come from players or staff at the Hawthorns after training had resumed.
It was confirmed on Sunday evening that the EFL had placed a provisional return date of June the 20th for the Championship.
The Premier League had zero positive results in their latest testing and they are set to return on the 17th. With the Championship not far behind that, the second-tier can expect to return on the 20th.
Slaven Bilic will be delighted with those latest results, which will mean he will have a full squad to train with as they start to prepare for the restart.
Although it was reported by the Athletic on Monday that the Baggies are nervous about the prospect of Fulham catching them.
This is the perfect time for the Baggies to make sure that they are fully prepared to stop that. Whilst West Brom have no positive findings, Fulham have a number of them at their training ground.
The Cottagers have had three players test positive, and as a result, they will have to self-isolate meaning that there training will be disrupted.
West Brom certainly have that upper-hand, and those nerves could be starting to slowly ease in the Midlands.
