Club ready to sell striker compared to Zlatan Ibrahimovic after West Brom link emerges

San Lorenzo are ready to cash in on striker Adolfo Gaich after the Argentina international was linked with a move to West Brom.

TyC Sports reported last month that the Baggies are hot on the heels of the 21-year-old forward, who has also attracted attention from top clubs in Europe like Inter Milan, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

It is likely that West Brom will need a new striker or two if they win promotion to the Premier League and there chances of landing Gaich appear to have been boosted by what San Lorenzo managing director Diego Delledonne has told FCInterNews.

We don’t want to let him go on loan. Our idea is to sell the player in this market window,” Delledonne said.

Gaich has only scored seven goals in his senior career at San Lorenzo but is already capped for the Argentina national side and if he’s caught the eye of teams like Inter Milan, he canno be a bad prospect.

FCInterNews has reported that Gaich has been compared to Robert Lewandowski and Zlatan Ibrahimovic for his style of play and the fact he’s only 21-years-old means that he is only going to get better.

Delledonne added that Gaich’s release clause is “totally negotiable” so it doesn’t mean Albion will have to pay the full whack to land the forward.

It could be a bargain buy for West Brom based on all the noises coming out of Argentina.

In other West Brom news, Lee Hendrie has tipped this Baggies star to do well in the Premier League if he bases his game on a Wolves player.
