‘I can’t unsee Huddersfield’ – Some West Brom fans react to fan-made 20/21 concept kit
West Brom released a Baggies-branded face mask earlier this week and the design of the mask sparked speculation among fans about the design being a hint at what the 2020/21 kit will look like.
The West Brom Shop Twitter account released an image of the face cover which donned the usual blue and white stripes that you would associate with the Baggies but the blue stripes were faded on either side.
That led to some fans thinking that next season’s kit could be a similar style and one Albion supporter has made a concept kit of what that could look like.
Rob Paddock designed the mock-up and uploaded it to his personal Twitter account but admitted that he didn’t like the look of it himself and only made it because of the online speculation caused by the face coverings.

Most West Brom fans agree but there are some who like the look of the faded stripes and here is a selection of their tweets:

We can definitely see why some Albion fans are saying that the kit looks more like something Huddersfield would wear because they had faded stripes on their kit when they played in the Premier League a couple of seasons ago.
Hopefully, West Brom do not do this and the design for the face masks is simply for those and nothing else.
Fans were less than pleased a few years back when pinstripes were used on the kit. If the club learned one thing then, it’s to not mess with the stripes.
In other West Brom news, Albion have agreed a date to play against one of their Midland rivals in a friendly match.
