Kamil Grosicki shares footage of first goal for West Brom in 2-2 v Aston Villa
West Brom finally got back into action on Saturday afternoon as they travelled to local rivals Aston Villa.
The Baggies took the lead twice at Villa Park, with goals from Kamil Grosicki and Filip Krovinovic before the Premier League side managed to come back and make it 2-2.
It was great preparation for Slaven Bilic’s side, who could now feature against Manchester United before the Premier League and EFL restart.
Grosicki has taken somewhat of a backseat at the Hawthorns since arriving, with Callum Robinson at the top of the pile.
The Polish international’s goal on Saturday was his first for the club, and he shared it onto his personal Instagram story.
The winger picks the ball up out wide, before running at the full-back, cutting onto his right foot and curling an effort into the bottom corner.
If this is a sign of things to come in the final nine games of the Championship season, then West Brom fans could be in for a real treat.
Grosicki will need to impress during these friendlies if he wants a bigger role under Bilic, but with the return to fitness of Grady Diangana, that task is getting harder and harder.
This is certainly a step in the right direction though, and if Grosicki can do that again before the game against Birmingham, he has a real chance of starting that Midlands derby.
