West Brom outline four refund options for season ticket holders

West Brom are offering season ticket holders four refund options in response to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

The Championship season looks set to resume later this month, but there is still no indication as to when supporters can hope to return to The Hawthorns given the current global health crisis.

With that in mind, the Baggies announced a number of measures on Monday designed to give supporters a choice on how they wish to receive repayment for the matches they are missing.

Season ticket holders will be given the option to trade it in for an iFollow pass that will allow them to watch Albion’s final nine matches from the comfort of their own home, as well as a ticket to the first cup match that fans are allowed back for.

Alternatively, fans will be able to donate their money as a gift to the club, convert their money into pro-rata credit towards their season ticket or match day tickets for the 2020/21 campaign, or receive a full refund for the five remaining matches that were due to take place at The Hawthorns this term.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Albion chief executive Mark Jenkins said: “We are incredibly grateful for the emails and messages we have received from our season-ticket holders wishing to help in this way and I cannot stress how valuable it will be to our club going forward.

“Hopefully, there will be an option within this package that suits everyone.”

Full credit to Albion for the way that they have dealt with the thorny issue of season ticket repayments.

By giving fans the option to choose for themselves, they have essentially covered all bases, and there should be an alternative to suit everybody here.

That kind of consideration for the fanbase is really appreciated, especially during such a difficult time for so many people.
