Highly-rated West Brom youngster set to put end to speculation with new deal – report
Highly-rated West Brom attacker Rayhaan Tulloch is expected to sign a new deal at the Hawthorns, according to The Athletic.
It is reported that the youngster will be in Slaven Bilic’s squad for the remaining nine games of the Championship season.
The 19-year-old is expected to sign a new long-term deal at the Hawthorns, putting an end to speculation on his future.
The Scottish Sun were reporting in May that Rangers had joined West Ham and Brighton in the hunt to bring the 19-year-old to the club.
Their interest was given optimism once it emerged that Tulloch’s camp were shocked at claims the forward was demanding up to £15,000-a-week – the signs weren’t looking good [Mirror].
All of those problems appear to have been swept under the carpet though, with Tulloch set for a bigger role in the squad after featuring in the FA Cup defeat to Newcastle.
Tulloch has impressed leading the line for the under-23s, scoring nine goals and adding four assists in his 14 appearances this season.
West Brom have done well to shake off the interest from Premier League clubs and teams like Rangers, who could offer European football to the youngster.
Tulloch now has the chance to cement his spot in the first-team, and what better way than to do it in a promotion charge – the pressure is well and truly on.
