Sky Sports: West Brom hot on heels of centre-forward, Euro club tables lucrative offer

West Brom are in pursuit of Charlton centre-forward Lyle Taylor but the 30-year-old has been offered a “lucrative” contract to head to Turkey, according to Sky Sports.

Taylor has revealed that he will leave The Valley once his contract expires at the end of June, meaning that the Baggies can land the ex-Millwall striker on a free transfer.

Burnley, Brentford and Rangers are also understood to be keen on Taylor but Turkish Super Lig club Sivasspor have reportedly made a move by offering the player a contract.

West Brom won’t be able to make a move for Taylor until his contract with Charlton expires at the end of this month but it remains to be seen if the Baggies are willing to match the so-called lucrative offer from Sivasspor.

Taylor has scored 11 goals in 22 Championship appearances in what has been an injury-hit season for him this season.

For a team struggling at the bottom-end of the table, his record of scoring a goal every other game is mightily impressive and is better than what any of West Brom’s strikers can boast.

But Albion still have two strikers with Premier League experience in Hal Robson-Kanu and Charlie Austin while Kenneth Zohore was a major investment by the club last summer when he was signed for £8million from Cardiff.

We won’t doubt Luke Dowling and Slaven Bilic if they do push for a deal for Taylor but right now, we cannot see them pressing on with a deal when he doesn’t offer any kind of movement on the current options.

In other West Brom news, Filip Krovinovic has shared footage of his goal against Aston Villa.
