West Brom share match footage as Kenneth Zohore & Matt Phillips score v Man United

West Brom have shared footage from their two friendlies against Manchester United on Friday afternoon at Old Trafford.

The Baggies travelled to Manchester less than a week after drawing to local rivals Aston Villa and didn’t disappoint.

John Percy of the Telegraph reported that Slaven Bilic’s men won one of the games, and only just missed out in the second.

West Brom have shared footage of the games on their official website, and it definitely shows some very promising signs.

First, it was Matt Phillips who calmly found the bottom corner from the edge of the box after some pinball in the home side’s defence.

Kenneth Zohore also found the back of the net in what will have been a massive confidence boost for the big Dane after failing to make much of an impact at the Hawthorns since arriving from Cardiff.

These friendlies will have been massively beneficial, and it could unleash a different beast in Zohore after his goal at Old Trafford.

The 26-year-old has only made 15 appearances in the Championship so far this season, scoring three goals and if he can start scoring in these final nine games – Bilic could have unleashed a secret weapon.

A big win against the Red Devils with players such as Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford will be a big boost, watch out the Championship.
