View: Promotion rivals should be quaking after latest West Brom training footage emerges
West Brom have shared more training footage as the restart of the Championship season draws ever closer.
The Baggies welcome Birmingham to the Hawthorns, with Slaven Bilic already confirming that he has a full squad to choose from with both Grady Diangana and Ahmed Hegazi returning to training.
Slaven Bilic has described the next month as a mini-World Cup, and his side has definitely been training like that.
The latest footage highlighted how sharp Charlie Austin has become during the lockdown, with the striker smashing the ball into the roof of the net after a neat turn.
Although it was a sharp turn, the only slightly worrying part of the clip would be how he got goalside of the defence so easily.
West Brom shared the footage on their official Instagram account, with the majority of fans claiming it was a warning for the Birmingham back four.
Austin will most likely have to settle for a place on the bench on Saturday though, with Hal Robson-Kanu in the form of his life this season.
The Welsh international has hit double figures for the first time in his career this year and has become a real nuisance for opposing defences – allowing the Baggies’ flair players to take advantage of spaces in the final third.
Austin is still averaging a goal every two games, with 44.1% of his shots finding the target according to WyScout – the 30-year-old will still be a weapon for Bilic between now and the end of the season.
