‘New signings’ – Jake Livermore makes bold WBA squad claim ahead of C’Ship restart

West Brom captain Jake Livermore has admitted that welcoming back their injured players has been like having new signings at the Hawthorns.

The Baggies welcome Birmingham on Saturday afternoon, with Slaven Bilic confirming that he has a full squad to choose from.

Both Grady Diangana and Ahmed Hegazi are back available after being missing before the enforced break with injuries.

Livermore suggested that having players back has been a perfect boost for the squad, with everyone raring to go in the Championship.

The boys are good – very good I would say,” he told the official club website.

“We’ve had a fitness plan throughout the whole three month period we haven’t played and everybody has kept to it.

“We’ve even got a couple of the injured boys back who feel like new signings. They are raring to go and we’ve all got that same goal.”

Having Diangana back will be a massive boost to Slaven Bilic and the Baggies, with the 22-year-old being in great form this season.

It will bring a dilemma though, with Callum Robinson having stepped up massively in the absence of the West Ham loanee.

Claret and Hugh have reported that Diangana is unlikely to make his move a permanent one next season, with the Baggies not ready to pay up to £20million in the summer window.

With that in mind, it is likely that Robinson could take his spot out wide against the Blues, and with his current form, it’s not the worst of choices.
