‘Gift that keeps on giving’ – Many West Brom fans delighted as Leeds lose v Cardiff on Sunday

West Brom fans were left wondering whether or not they had slipped up on Saturday after dropping points in the 0-0 draw against Birmingham.

Fast forward 24 hours though, and it looks like a great point with Leeds losing 2-0 against Cardiff on Sunday and handing top spot back to the Baggies.

Slaven Bilic wasn’t happy with his side’s performance at the Hawthorns, and all eyes will now be on Friday night’s mega-clash against Brentford.

Leeds had the chance to go three points clear of West Brom, and a further 10 ahead of Fulham but threw that away in their sloppy display.

That is obviously a massive boost for the Midlands club, who now aren’t the team sat in second looking over their shoulders in the promotion race.

Three points against Brentford on Friday, and there will so much pressure on Leeds who could start looking backwards rather than forwards.

Many West Brom fans have reacted to the so-called shock result on Sunday, with some disappointed about their missed chance against Birmingham, and some delighted with how the weekend has played out.

So, Baggies fans have been left delighted with the opening weekend of the Championship restart.

Who would have thought that a 0-0 draw against our nearest rivals would have been the best result out of the top three clubs, we’re not complaining though.
