Slaven Bilic details what he expects from Brentford as West Brom prepare for massive clash
Slaven Bilic has spoken of his admiration for Brentford, with his West Brom side set to travel to Griffin Park on Friday.
The Baggies boss admitted that he believes the Bee are good enough to earn promotion to the Premier League after the 0-0 draw against Birmingham.
Brentford restarted the season perfectly, snatching a 2-0 victory against promotion rivals Fulham towards the end of their Saturday clash.
Bilic claimed Brentford are as good at the back as they are going forward with their blistering front three.
“Since the end of last year, I have always thought Brentford were a team that could go on a run and be a danger to everyone,” he told the official club website.
“They give nothing away at the back and they have dangerous offensive players. It will be a tough game for us – but I am confident it will be a tough game for them as well.”
Everyone involved with the Baggies will be expecting one of the toughest tests the Championship has to offer on Friday.
Thomas Frank confirmed before the clash with Fulham on Friday that dangerman Bryan Mbuemo missed out after a positive COVID-19 test, something which could keep him out again.
West Brom will need to improve drastically from their goalless draw on Saturday, but with Leeds slipping up against Cardiff on Sunday, that could turn out to be a very good point.
