‘Not going to be happy’ – Sky pundit claims Bilic will be fuming with one thing after 0-0 draw

Sky Sports pundit Sue Smith has said that Slaven Bilic will “certainly” not be happy about West Brom going three Championship games without a goal.

The 0-0 draw with Birmingham on Saturday came after a 0-0 with Swansea and a 1-0 defeat to Wigan.

Talking on The Football Show on Sky Sports (22/6, 10.30am) Smith said, “West Brom dominated the game and that’s the third straight game without a goal so he’s certainly not going to be happy with that.

“They did lack sharpness in front of goal. There were plenty of crosses coming into the box but they weren’t converting them. Pereira, he was the one you looked at who could make something happen, he was the real class act.

“I think the fact they have moved top is a positive but he will want to see more.”

Massive game incoming – goals needed

Pereira is a class act and he was the real danger on Saturday. However, we think Romaine Sawyers was the man of the match against Birmingham.

You could look at Saturday as a missed opportunity but you could also look at the Championship table and see that West Brom are top.

We haven’t struggled for goals this season – only Brentford have scored more and we’ve scored eight more than Leeds in second.

However, the game on Friday is massive. Brentford are an exciting, attacking side and a win for them would really give them the momentum as they try and chase the top two down.

A win for the Baggies would see daylight and playing first gives us the chance to put down a marker. We surely can’t go four without a goal?
