‘Star’ – Leeds ace reacts on Instagram as West Brom agree new contract with player
It was the news that everyone wanted on Tuesday as West Brom confirmed that Rayhaan Tulloch had signed a new deal at the Hawthorns.
There was strong speculation that the Baggies sensation could leave the club over the summer, with that finally putting an end to all the talk.
The 19-year-old put pen-to-paper on a new four-year deal which will see him remain in the Midlands until 2024.
Clubs such as Brighton, West Ham and Rangers were interested according to the Scottish Sun, but Tulloch confirmed his delight at the new deal.
Posting on his personal Instagram account, the young forward expressed his desire to push into the first-team over the next four years.
One of those to send their congratulations was former Baggie and Leeds United ace Tyler Roberts.
The Welsh international was quick to react to one of his former teammates in the academy, putting their alliances aside.
“Starr,” he wrote.
Tulloch could have followed in the footsteps of Roberts by leaving The Hawthorns in order to secure more first-team football.
Roberts has found success at Elland Road under Marcelo Bielsa and is in the thick of the promotion race alongside his former side in the Championship.
The Baggies and Slaven Bilic will be hoping for Tulloch to make a similar impact in the next two years at the Hawthorns after cameo performances against the likes of West Ham and Newcastle in the FA Cup this season.
