Confirmed West Brom team news: Loan star misses out on XI v Blackburn, Krovinovic starts

West Brom have confirmed that Slaven Bilic has made one change to his starting line-up ahead of the clash against Blackburn at 3pm.

Albion announced on their official Twitter account ahead of kick-off that loan star Grady Diangana has missed out on the starting line-up and is only fit enough to start on the bench after being forced off against Derby on Wednesday.

Filip Krovinovic comes in to replace Diangana, as Albion return to what seems like a 4-3-3 formation.

West Brom go into the clash at Ewood Park knowing that a victory will take them top of the Championship standings ahead of Leeds’ meeting with Swansea on Sunday.

Fulham and Brentford are breathing down the necks of the Baggies but a victory at Blackburn will go a long way towards securing automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Bilic’s men have won their last three matches going into their trip to Lancashire with Hull, Sheffield Wednesday and Derby all being brushed aside by the in-form Black Country club.

Blackburn’s form has been indifferent since the restart.

They have secured impressive wins over Bristol City and Cardiff but have lost to relegation-threatened sides in Wigan and Barnsley.

Tony Mowbray cannot be expected to do his former club any favours on Saturday as Rovers’ faint hopes of reaching the play-offs are hanging by a thread.

It should be a good, open match of football at Ewood Park and we just hope that West Brom’s quality can shine through to secure all three points and take that giant stride towards returning to the top-flight.
