‘Absolute liability’, ‘Joke’ – Many West Brom fans hammer player after ‘meltdown’ v Huddersfield
West Brom fans have taken to social media to slate Hal Robson-Kanu for his display against Huddersfield Town on Friday evening.
The striker was drafted in by Slaven Bilic for the must-win game against the Terriers, but failed to make much of an impact, was withdrawn before the hour-mark in the 2-1 loss, and was arguably lucky to stay on the pitch after a coming together with a Town defender.
With his side a goal down and tensions clearly rising, the Wales international seemed to seek out a clash with Richard Steadman, and perhaps could have seen red on another day after barging into his opponent off the ball.

Let’s not forget, the hitman has previous of this as well.
It was him who got dismissed against Derby County for a needless incident last May – and ultimately missed a vital clash with Aston Villa as a result.
In short, he is beginning to look more and more like a liability when the pressure is on, and that’s the last thing that the Baggies can afford.
Perhaps it wouldn’t be too bad if he was scoring every other week, but the fact that he has just 0.36 goals per game this season, as per Wyscout, would suggest that he still has a long way to go in that respect too.
Right now, West Brom need players who can keep their heads under immense amounts of stress, and Robson-Kanu has shown more than once that he isn’t capable of doing so.
If he has to feature again this season, it shouldn’t be from a starting berth.
