View: 29y/o to be axed in one change for huge showdown – West Brom predicted XI v QPR

West Brom manager Slaven Bilic is predicted to make just one change to his starting line-up ahead of the season decided against QPR on Wednesday night.

Albion were gifted a promotion lifeline by Stoke City on Saturday when they earned a shock 1-0 win against Brentford.

Bilic had seen his side lose 2-1 to relegation-threatened Huddersfield on Friday and after being handed a miraculous second chance to seal a top-two finish, we expect the Croatian manager to keep changes to a minimum when QPR make their way to The Hawthorns.

Bilic has the chance to show that he has faith in his players. He can tell them that he believes this is his strongest starting line-up and really give them a confidence boost before the last match of the season.

However we still predict Bilic to make one change and that is to drop Matt Phillips and replace him with Kamil Grosicki with the 29-year-old Scotland international in woeful form since the season restarted last month.

Sam Johnstone is predicted to start in goals behind a back-four of Dara O’Shea, Semi Ajayi, Ahmed Hegazi and Conor Townsend.

There have been calls for Chris Brunt to start in what could be his final chance to play for West Brom with him due to leave when the season ends but Bilic is likely to keep the central midfield the same with Jake Livermore and Romaine Sawyers starting.

It’s likely to be a 4-2-3-1 formation again so that means Grady Diangana could start on the right, Grosicki on the left and Matheus Pereira in the number 10 role behind Hal Robson-Kanu.

West Brom need to win this match and if they do, they’ll be a Premier League club again.

In other West Brom news, Hal Robson-Kanu has sent a message to this Leeds player after Albion’s loss handed the Whites promotion.
