‘Worst 30mins in an Albion shirt’ – Many West Brom fans slam ‘Shocking’ ace in first-half v QPR
West Brom fans were critical of Matheus Pereira for his first-half performance in the 2-2 draw with QPR at The Hawthorns on Wednesday night.
Pereira, 24, has been the stand-out player at The Hawthorns this season but he failed to impress in the opening 45 minutes of the final match of the campaign.
The Brazilian skied two shots to the back of the Smethwick End when he really should have done a lot better and his passing just seemed to be a lot sloppier than usual.
He did put one or two decent deliveries into the penalty area but that was about it in a frustrating opening period for the attacker.
Albion fans were just as frustrated with what they saw from Pereira, who they clearly expect a lot better from with how well he has performed this season.

Pereira has put in some worrying performances since the season restarted.
Although he grabbed that hat-trick of assists against Hull and netted a brace against Sheffield Wednesday, there have been too many games where the Brazilian has simply failed to meet the high expectations that fans have of him.
Is he affected by the pressure? Is there too much expectation on him to help West Brom see out wins?
At least Grady Diangana stepped up in the big game against QPR. But, unfortunately, that might have been his final appearance for the Baggies.
