View: Slaven Bilic ‘satisfied’ with West Brom ace, January signing could need to improve

Slaven Bilic has been “satisfied” with the attitude of West Brom winger Kamil Grosicki during the final couple months of the season.

The Croatian met with the Polish international’s agent, Daniel Kaniewski after the 2-2 draw with Queens Park Rangers, and gave a less than passionate response.

West Brom sealed promotion despite not winning any of their final four games, with Grosicki playing a massive part in the run-in.

Kaniewski recalled the meeting with Bilic in a recent interview, claiming that Grosicki is highly respected in the Midlands.

“We talked to Bilic on Wednesday after the match against QPR,” he told Przegladsportowy.

“He told us that he was satisfied with Kamil’s attitude. Anyway, it was visible in the last two meetings, when he reached for it in difficult moments. Grosik is highly respected in the club and in the city.”

Grosicki struggled to get into the Baggies starting squad for some months after arriving in January, but the 32-year-old started four out of the final six games.

The winger did struggle to have the same impact at the Hawthorns as he did at Hull, averaging only 1.1 shots on goal per game according to WhoScored – something that must improve.

Bilic being satisfied may sound satisfactory, but we all know that the Croatian will be demanding more than just satisfying from his players on the training pitch and on matchdays.
