‘100%’, ‘Absolute bargain’ – These fans want West Brom to sign reported £10m-rated striker

West Brom fans have taken to Twitter to urge the club to sign striker Callum Wilson following Bournemouth’s relegation to the Championship.

Wilson, 28, scored eight goals in 35 Premier League appearances as the Cherries dropped down to the second-tier this season but the England international has proven over the years that he can be a prolific goalscorer in the top-flight.

The former Coventry striker has, in total, scored 41 times in 126 Premier League appearances, averaging a goal roughly every three games.

According to The Sun, Wilson could be available for as little as £10million this summer due to Bournemouth’s relegation, which is a bargain considering his proven record in the Premier League, the fact he’s at his prime at 28-years-of-age and is an England international.

After seeing how cheap the striker is available for ahead of next season, Albion fans have been showing their support for a swoop this summer.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

At £10million, you would imagine almost every Premier League club will be trying to sign Wilson this summer.

However that doesn’t mean that Albion fans can’t be optimistic about signing the Coventry-born striker, who might favour a return to the Midlands over joining a team like Tottenham, where he’d play second fiddle to Harry Kane.

Another stumbling block is that his wages are said to be over £100,000-a-week. Will West Brom pay that? We very much doubt it.

In other West Brom news, Daryl Burgess has urged the club to sign this 32-year-old striker.
